Sellers To Be Concerned About

For a while the fraudsters had gone underground at eBay, it seems that they are starting to rear their ugly heads again. So once again we will be regularly posting to this blog in the efforts to warn potential bidders of shady cards and dealers. What we are reporting are cards that seem to be priced to well to be real and the reason why we think they are bogus. This week we bring you:

Seller: the_rock_2007 This seller appears to have a few ungraded Jordan cards that are all in Mint condition. A few to many to really make his story believable.

Seller: 1996jennifer Another seller of Jordan rookies this time from Hong Kong the notorious land of reprint Jordan's. Just go and check ioffer and see how many come from there. Seller states "Please see the photo, I know there are reprints out there, but nowhere on this card is that stated."

Seller: numberoneinstock 0 feedback high dollar item. Seller states "I usually deal about 98% with baseball and vintage baseball, so I really have no use for NBA cards and don't know that much about the specifics of them. I know there are reprints out there, but nowhere on this card is that stated. this card has vibrant strong colors, looks great." Need I say more.

Seller: williama7604 Another 0 feedback seller with yet another Jordan. This appears to have lost it's bottom. Has also left out any type of item Hype. Leads me to believe this seller has done this before and gotten caught.

Currently Selling: Update: ITEMS REMOVED BY eBay
Michael Jordan 1986-87 Fleer premier Item#: 120081216009

Seller: olebbstuff Been around for a while has sold several reprints. Click on the seller name and you will see the Negs taken from toolhaus.org. That should clarify things.

Currently Selling:
1933 Goudey #144 Babe Ruth NYY EX/MT Item#: 87227208511933
Goudey #160 Lou Gehrig NYY ex/mt Item#: 330057338876

Seller: dankmaster35 We missed this seller and my apologies to grewickedboy for not posting this in our original post. The seller purchased this card on 1/24/07 1941 playball 1941 Ted Williams item number 260075997335 (note: item has since been removed by eBay) from driver9212, who sells doctered up reprints. By docterd up we mean the seller makes them look aged. He now comes back and lists the item saying "THIS IS AN ORIGINAL 1941 PLAYBALL TED WILLIAMS #14! THERE IS CORNER WEAR AND THE BACK IS A LITTLE FADED, BUT WHATS NICE IS THERE AREN'T ANY CREASES!! THIS IS TEDS MOST COLLECTIBLE CARD AND ALSO BOOKS @$1500.00!!!!!!! " Since he first listed the item the seller has lowered the Buy It Now Price 5 times. You tell me you think this guy is looking for a sucker?

The Item:
1941 Play Ball Ted Williams #14 item number 22007677062

That is all for this edition Keep checking back for updates. Till then rememeber our motto!
