New Players Same Old Scam

The baseball season is in full swing, so are the the sellers of fake sports cards. It seems there is a proliferation of new potential scammers to add to the eBay list of unlicensed reprint card dealers. Without further adieu our list includes:

Seller: charlie412 It seems charlie is selling off his collection of cards that he has bought over the last 20 years. He owns some of the most sought after cards in the hobby. He claims to have purhcased many of these items in large lots. He says he is not a sports card grader so he can't be sure of the authenticity of the items being sold. To quote charlie " This one is going to fool most people! Maybe even one of the weaker Grading companies out there you could send it to."

Seller: brainp619 Brain doesn't even bother to list the card as a reprint, clearly a violation of eBay policy, yet the card is still there.

1953 TOPPS MICKEY MANTLE #82 Item# 5195589691

Seller: hedged_bet To quote the seller " Although I think this card could be real, I am listing an old reprint. " Must have bet on Steinbrenner's horse to win the Kentucky Derby and is hedging his bet with this fine card.
